I attended NUD Pry School, Sango, Ikire, Ayedaade Grammar School in Ikire then Community High School at Oke Ada also in Ikire. It might interest you that I trekked from my father’s house at Abolade’s Compound, Popo Area, Ikire to those schools. I took my first born to those schools few years ago and then back to the family house in Ikire, I told him I used to trek and sometimes I wouldn’t have sandals or slippers to wear to school during those periods. When I was at Ayedaade grammar school, it was brother Daood(the then Ikire DPO’s son) that lived in Baba Alhaji Nure’s house very close to my father’s house that usually dashed me his used uniforms before I could look like students bcos I am from a humble beginning. Adekunmi(my first born) was crying after hearing my story. You know the reason I am telling you this story ? Bcos of those that are castigating Mp Oluwole Oke-BOO on his interview that his kids attend the best schools in the world bcos he has paid the price. My kids are attending school where they have 4 different uniforms(Monday to Thursday) while they wear mufty only on Friday bcos I know where I came from and suffered. Most of my friends that grew up together with me can never allow their kids to attend government owned primary and secondary schools and even higher institutions. Before you castigate Boo, check yourself. Are your kids attending government schools (l dont want to say public schools) ?
