Keeps you in shape too! This year’s Spin‑A‑Thon focuses on addressing critical workforce shortages in the maritime industry. According to estimates, the sector faces a growing talent gap, with retirement-eligible staff expected to rise from 24 percent in 2024 to 43 percent by 2029. Skills shortages are already causing project delays of up to 30 percent, underscoring the urgent need for recruitment and training programs. This year's Spin‑A‑Thon aims to help tackle these challenges by raising funds for education, training scholarships, and employer-connected pathways, with the non-profit of choice, Captain Sandy’s Charities (as in Captain Sandy Yawn). Participants will have the opportunity to spin for up to six hours, and teams will compete on generating the highest energy output. Sponsorships start at $2,500, with individual rider spots and donation opportunities also available.
