Kina, 15 « faut pas se forcer quoi »
✨Beautiful chimera, still ! « no struggles with teens ».
The mediation and prevention team created this collective for the girls, once again based on voluntary. During those days and before a maraude, some classics, yet serious topics are brought to the table. These discussions quickly helped them turn the button off some quarrels and begin truly listening to one another (on separate groupe), perhaps touching on something they deeply miss. Having been exposed to family difficulties, health issues, sexual violence, or risky behavior, Anaïs, Rehianna, Rihanna, Kina, and Sheryne are now seeking peace and trying to rebuild their social connections, their sense of integrity, and, most often, their self-esteem. Girls showed a great deal of humor and gentleness, very smily yet shy for some, also quite argumentative at times and sometimes body language emerged when words felt insufficient—when they were unsure which words would be most accurate to assert themselves… or to rebel.

Focus on protestation camps, in England - 2024.
Protest camps remain a peaceful way to speak out, to be closer to people who are curious to know more and there is the idea of the long term stay by recreating a space to live in and most of the time, by choosing a place in relation to the protest. There is also an idea of unity and hope in the fact that these camps are proliferating all over a country and have remained for months. But unfortunately, institutions and government don’t see it that way. Context : Since October 7, many university students from around the world (United States, Canada, Australia, France, Germany, etc.) have organized protest camps against universities and their leaders. They accuse universities of being complicit with Israel in the war in Gaza, by carrying out and assisting in technical research on new weapons. Students are asking their universities to break with Israel through demands. They use the camps to say it:
« It’s a way of being here in front of them, every day, every night and in a very visible way to many, we have signs, graphs, documents, we are here, we can discuss, everyone can understand more easily the reason for our presence.”, “It is also a constant visual reminder for the university, it has also helped at university open days, educational awards and graduations” , “Basically, it makes the university look bad that we’re here to tell everyone how evil and complicit she is. » Also, teachers have been questioned in classes (for some they « don’t show up at the camps”, ) and some at camps about their positions, they “don’t want to lose their jobs by sharing their thoughts. » Today, leaders of some units defend the insecurities and rights of other students to benefit from an ideal exam environment. « In theory, we thought that because they wanted us gone, they would listen to our requests... but they haven’t done that yet ». We can see a paradoxical construction between the solid knowledge that we believed we had and the reality that manifested itself, through an ephemeral installation. #camps #students #phtography #howtoexpressyourself #protest university

Jumping on some gossip moment by the end of the day for those four teenagers who volunteer by creating the collectif. #Talant #Mediation #blackandwhitephotography
Talant, France 2025
The five boys finally had a break and went outside to get some fresh air after two hours of focusing on a new creative painting task, and here is Mathys, 14 yo, watching a fight between two of them…

“No struggles with teens”. Arhhh beautiful chimera ✨
A few months ago, educators from Médiation et Prévention Dijon in France — who support local teens facing complex challenges like social, educational, or health struggles — proposed forming a collective with young people. Five of them volunteered, and I was invited to come and meet them. Adam, Mehdi, Misha, Manassé and Mathys come from différent area around Dijon, and decided together to jump in this adventure.
They are what teens often are: sensitive, shy, playful, curious, easily hurt, on their phones, and often feeling misunderstood. But they are also incredibly resilient and ready — all set to create, to share, and to push themselves beyond their problems, even if only for a short moment.
In this space, integration isn’t just a goal — it’s a process of growth, collaboration, and transformation. The educators are also closely connected to the parents, working with them to better understand the teenagers — and helping the teenagers to understand themselves. #waytounderstand

University of Leicester, England 2024. Green lesson.
Nature in a place of learning. Here i am under the tree where i can supposed many young people #kissedandlearned , also just next to the field where the students protested. The establishment removed their installation but their traces of passage will remain for a few more weeks.
