15 years to get to this point. This is the system that keeps it sustainable.
The routines, the content, the workouts, the finances, the faith… this is how I organize life as an orthopedic/spine surgeon and creator. I’ve learned that motivation comes and goes, but systems are what keep you disciplined when life gets loud. If it’s not in the dashboard, it probably doesn’t get done.

Mother’s Day never feels long enough when you grow up surrounded by women who gave everything to make sure you had a chance. - @beautyaccess x @careorg x @retreatbytgs
One of six kids.
Four older sisters.
Ten nieces and nephews.
Raised in a home full of strong women.
And now as a surgeon, the older I get, the more I realize how much women carry physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually… while still somehow finding ways to pour into everybody else.
That’s why being in that room meant so much to me.
Mothers.
Doulas.
Physicians.
Community leaders.
Women being celebrated, supported, and poured back into through the @careorg package initiative.
And honestly, I think the world moves forward because of women like that.
Proverbs 31:25 says,
“She is clothed with strength and dignity.”
To every mother, future mother, auntie, sister, mentor, and caregiver… thank you.
I hope we celebrate y’all more than just one day a year.
God bless. 🤍

Most people are surprised when I tell them I’m Nigerian.
Even more surprised when I show up in native.
I wonder why.
I fix hips for a living. This is what I wear when I’m not.
Culture doesn’t disappear because you became professional in America.

I see too many people my age…in their 30’s…with back and joint pain. There are a few things I won’t do to my body after 15 years of medical school/training.

I used to think my mom was just being protective.
Now I realize she was fighting battles I couldn’t even see.
She prayed over my hands before they ever touched a patient.
She prayed over my mind when stress tried to break it.
She prayed over my discipline when nobody was watching.
She prayed I’d never lose God chasing success.
She prayed for the family I haven’t even built yet.
And the crazy part?
A lot of the things I call “hard work” today…
started as somebody else’s prayer years ago.
Every degree.
Every closed door that protected me.
Every opportunity.
Every ounce of strength to keep going when I was exhausted.
Every blessing I wasn’t qualified for yet.
My mother paid for it in prayer.
Some of y’all are standing in prayers that were whispered over you long before you understood their value.
Mother’s Day is coming up.
Call your mom. Hug your mom. Thank your mom.
Some of us are only here because somebody refused to stop praying for us.
“Her children rise up and call her blessed.” Proverbs 31:28 (ESV)

Spine surgeon in my early 30s… and this is why I tell people with back pain to stop doing crunches.
Crunches are spinal flexion.
You know what else is spinal flexion?
Sitting at a desk all day.
Driving.
Being on your phone for hours.
Your core’s real job isn’t just to bend your spine.
It’s to stabilize it.
To resist movement.
To keep your spine from collapsing under load.
That’s why anti-extension work tends to make a lot more sense for many people with low back pain.
Three levels in this video.
Pick the variation you can hold for 20–30 seconds with:
• no hip sag
• no rib flare
• no low back discomfort
Start where you have control. Not where your ego wants you to start.
More spine-friendly core training coming. Save this. Share it with someone who needs it.
I pray God’s healing over your body. 🙏🏾

I got invited to my first luxury dining experience in Atlanta.
“A Night in Lagos.”
West African fusion food. Creators. Entrepreneurs. Storytelling. Culture. Community.
And for once, nobody really cared that I was a surgeon.
Nobody asked about residency.
Nobody asked about how many years of training.
Nobody asked about medicine.
We talked about life.
Purpose.
Creativity.
Family.
Vision.
Atlanta.
Nigeria.
Faith.
What we’re building outside of our titles.
That was refreshing.
Because the truth is… I worked extremely hard to become a surgeon.
Years of discipline.
Sacrifice.
Isolation.
Delayed gratification.
Choosing purpose while everybody else was partying.
But somewhere along the way, I realized I didn’t just want a successful career.
I wanted a beautiful life too.
And sometimes life starts opening doors when you stop seeing yourself as just one thing.
A creator who happens to be a surgeon.
A surgeon who happens to love culture, fashion, food, faith, wellness, storytelling, and meaningful connection.
Life is finally flirting back.
God is good. 🙏🏾

Your cologne should match your standards.
5 colognes that get me complimented every week - and what each one is for.
1. Bleu de Chanel — the blanket. If you don’t know what to wear, wear this.
2. YSL Y — the cleaner. Sage, ginger, bergamot. Modern man scent.
3. Paco Rabanne 1 Million — the night out. Loud, sweet, unapologetic.
4. K by Dolce & Gabbana — the grown one. Mediterranean. Sunday brunch energy.
5. Kenneth Cole RSVP — the dark horse. Under $50, outperforms its price.
One blanket. One cleaner. One for the night. One grown. One underdog.
Smell like a man, not a teenager.
Save this for your next @sephora run.
Comment ROUND 2 if you want 5 more from my rotation.

I have put so much effort and discipline into the man I am right now, I’ve always tried to master every element, feed my spirit, move my body, sharpen my mind.
I have sacrificed a lot of things, where others were out, I was in - in the OR, in the books, in the gym, in prayer, sleepless nights, isolated days, the kind of years nobody photographs...
My discipline kept me moving, it took me to places I never expected to stand and a life I never thought was for me...
Some people will say you changed. Let them. The work demanded it.
The version of you they remember couldn’t carry what you carry now... 🙏🏾
