DO5 STORES PARTNERS WITH TRICYCLE RIDERS IN JOS TO BOOST LOGISTICS AND ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT
In a strategic move to defy current economic headwinds, DO5 Stores has officially launched a landmark partnership with the Plateau State Chapter of Tricycle Riders Union of Nigeria (TRUN).
This initiative held on Friday 1st May, 2026 led by the DO5 Brand and Marketing Manager, Mr. Sam Abayomi, saw the free branding of several tricycles to serve a dual purpose: expanding the brand’s visibility across Jos and providing riders with a much-needed secondary stream of income.
The collaboration, fully endorsed by the TRUN Chairman Jos North, Alhaji Dahiru Hassan, further buttressed DO5 Stores' commitment to grassroots economic support during challenging times.
The exercise showcased a vibrant parade of branded logistics vehicles and tricycles through the city streets.
This rollout was conducted with the full oversight and approval of the VIO, FRSC, and other security agencies to ensure safety and compliance.
During the flagging-off ceremony, General Manager Ms. Cheta Okonkwo addressed the fleet, urging riders to remain law-abiding and courteous.
She emphasized that while many businesses are currently scaling back, DO5 Stores remains dedicated to growth and rapid delivery, promising further incentives for riders who hit their service targets.
The Logistics Manager, Mr Nico further urged the Tricyle Riders to be law abiding and prompt with delivery to avoid disappointment and inconvenience for our customers.
He told them to ensure they meet their weekly target which will enable them gain incentives at the end of the month.
