through an exploration of sound, style, and movement, we enter the do x it disco. our goal with this production was to merge these three worlds into a story shaped by the individual interpretation of each song. the models were styled uniquely for every track, mirroring the contrasts we hear throughout the short. each person was free to interpret the music and react authentically to whatever it stirred in them.

this is our first self-driven and produced concept, accomplished within the tight span of 3.5 weeks from initial spark to completion. stay tuned for more content from this shoot. in this new phase of do x it full time, we’ve been intentional about expanding our range beyond dance into fashion and music-driven work. this production gave us space to flex those creative muscles and pushed us to grow on multiple new levels

A reminder that growth doesn’t always happen loudly.
Sometimes it’s simply about showing up for yourself again and again, and letting something new unfold.
Whenever I listen to this song, Aqyila’s voice brings up a lot of emotion. I thought about creating this piece alone, but in the end I realized it would bring more joy to share it with the people who support me and make my world feel safer.

this project marks my first independent concept video that isn’t tied to a team or org. it’s been a long time since i let my own instinct lead a full-scale production like this.
i love world building through blending movement, visuals, and sound into a space where they can live together.
edge, confidence, mess, darkness. m.i.a brings out a lot of what i’ve been experiencing in my own creative journey lately.
