October 2023, Pamela Schoenberg discovered the ‘ArtandMed’ curriculum by Ted Meyer, created for use in medical schools. It utilizes art as a tool to teach an understanding of wellness through patient/artist voices. With this added visual component, one’s ability to comprehend illness becomes more possible. Thus, Schoenberg decided to embrace this core, as well as combine an additional health component, at dnj Gallery.
In other words, Schoenberg decided to redirect the mission of dnj Gallery from solely commercial to a space with a more charitable and educational purpose.
Our recent journey comes from a deep desire to make a positive difference in the lives of those struggling with health challenges. We strive to bridge the gap between art and medicine, providing a platform for patient comments often overlooked in traditional galleries. #dnjGallery #ArtandMed #EmpowerWellness #ArtGallery

Thanks to all who joined this past Saturday for “DIANE SHADER SMITH AND ANDREA SONNENBERG”
The story we’ve been told is that mental health is internal - but what if the real story is everything around us.
