Zöe's cap is made from handmade washi paper made in @kurotaniwashi and waxed with Australian beeswax, and has all hand-dyed bands and straps.

Referencing floriography and Victorian papier-mâché furniture, "Flowers" is comprised of a series of 9 ornamental tiles made from waste linen rag pulp.
This project was led by Jake Nakashima-Edwards.

Nothing says "I'm the eldest boy" like a baseball cap with no logos.
Succession’s costume designer Michelle Matland told the Wall Street Journal in a 2021 interview that, as she sees it, the absence of a logo on Kendall Roy’s baseball caps says “there’s no relevant team but…team Me.”
Jake is developing a new work based on some of our previous material research on rag paper for this year's Melbourne Design Week, hosted by @ngvmelbourne .

Custom order paper cloud. This paper was designed during the Japanese Mingei movement, and it's produced in Izumo.
This paper is called Izumo Cloud Paper (出雲雲紙), and is made in Izumo, Japan, at Izumo Mingeishi Kōbo.
Papermaking in this region began around 737 AD, and peaked at 30 workshops. Now, there is one.
This paper is made in the winter time, and typically used for sliding doors and bookbinding. While most Japanese paper is made from Kōzo (Paper Mulberry), this paper is made from Mitsumata grown in the Kōchi region of Japan. The technique to make this paper was invented by National Living Treasure Abe Eishiro during the Mingei (folk-art) movement in the early part of the 20th century. The technique for this gorgeous paper is now patented, and continues to be made by his descendants.
The clouds of coloured pulp create gentle stripes in natural, blue, red, and gold 🤍
