After recovering from being hit by a car & tearing my MCL Sep2024, May 2026 became a proving ground—of my grit & stamina. From the savage 107-mile crucible of the Belgian Waffle Ride to the punishing 100-mile/11,000 feet of climbing Gran Fondo of the Great Western Reroute, each battle demanded 8 hours and 40 minutes of absolute commitment. These weren’t rides; they were full-day wars against terrain, fatigue, and the quiet voice inside that begs you to stop. To many, it would seem insane—voluntarily stepping into that level of suffering, embracing the mental torment and physical punishment that most would flee without hesitation. But endurance is forged in the act of enduring. It is the sacred confrontation between what the body is capable of and what the mind falsely labels impossible. Out there, deep beyond comfort and civilization, endurance transforms into something greater—something primal. A moving meditation where pain dissolves, doubt is silenced, and every ounce of thought, flesh, and willpower is surrendered to the machine beneath you. Because when you are 60 miles deep in the wild, isolated by mountains, no rescue is coming. There is only you, your resolve, and the long road home.

Finally got to ride the Belgian Waffle Ride with my cousin. 1st ride we did together, he was 5 & was 11; he thought it was a race & got his handlebar into a fence, flipped & broke his jaw. Today, no bones were broken & after 107 gravel miles, our bond has grown even stronger.

Cleveland National Forest is breath taking, or it could just be the 4000ft of climbing up single track, open trails & a few water crossings. My 1st time riding with the @gravelstoke crew🙌🏽 I might have to sign up for the GWReroute

Chia seeds mixed with yogurt has become one of my favorites. Great for a nutritious morning base or evening snack when I’m craving something sweet. Remember never eat dry chia seeds, lets them soak for 20-30min. Recipe Beverage: super greens, matcha tea, clove and spirulina powder, with a drop of oregano extract. Power bowl: chia seeds soaked in ginger water and colloidal gold. Base: beet root, macamaca, lucuma, cinnamon, peanuts coconut, and reishider power. A Generous cup of Greek yogurt, topped with kiwi, pineapple, granola, and a drizzle of maple syrup and honey. Mix to enjoy

In the quiet hush of evening, when the world seems to hold its breath… there are no routes laid down, no maps to follow, no doubts to cloud the heart. Just a warm winter night, the air soft as a whispered secret, and a boy on his bike, pedaling slowly beneath the streetlights, lost in the simple joy of being alive. - DNGR 2026
