However, after a frustrating first 24 hours without so much as a sign, it became clear the fish weren’t going to give themselves up easily! ⁠ ⁠ Instead of sitting it out, Jimmy went into full search mode. Over the next 12 hours he tried everything possible to force a result – experimenting with zigs, surface tactics, traps down the edge and rods positioned long over bait, constantly adapting in an effort to unlock the swim. ⁠ ⁠ Finally, just before dark, he spotted the tell-tale signs of feeding fish with fizzing appearing amongst the weed. Reacting instantly, Jimmy used the Bushwhacker to quietly position a rig right in amongst the activity before firing a few pouches of bait around the area.
