Long story: Guys, the folks at @blairpublisher don’t know this, but when I first started submitting work to literary journals years ago, I used the New Stories from the South anthology as my road map. I wanted to read these writers, submit my stories where they submit, and, it was always my hope to one day have a short story find its way into their anthology. I was mighty disappointed when the series ended several years ago. Today, I’m excited to share that my story “Sanctuary” will be included in the newly rebooted 2026 volume this fall, now published by Blair, edited by Robin Miura. Thanks to Beloit Fiction Journal editor @finkfiction for running the story in his journal and nominating it for NSFTS. The story is an excerpt/chapter from Twinless Twin @univnebpress@awpwriter
