Joshua Lapinskas, a Gettys D. Broome High School sophomore, took creativity and determination to the next level with his “Do-Nothing Machine” project! After coming across the idea online, Josh challenged himself to build his own version—without any physical model or blueprint to guide him. Using only his memory, he designed the entire project in Fusion 360 and brought it to life using the Stratasys 3D printer. Even more impressive? Josh completed this project completely independently. He didn’t ask Mr. Garner for help—just for permission to take on the challenge. Great work, Joshua!

Global Logistics & Supply Chain Management students from Daniel Morgan Technical Center had the opportunity to visit Benore Logistic Systems, Inc. for an incredible field trip experience! Students were able to step inside a real-world logistics operation and see first-hand how concepts we study in the classroom—like transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and supply chain coordination—are applied every day. From observing fleet operations to learning about career pathways in logistics, this trip gave our students valuable insight into one of the fastest-growing industries in our region. We want to give a huge thank you to the Benore team for taking the time to host us, share their knowledge, and invest in the next generation of logistics professionals. Opportunities like this truly bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world application. #Logistics #SupplyChain #CTE #CareerReady #DMTC WorkBasedLearning BenoreLogistics

Daniel Morgan Technology Center is incredibly excited to receive a law enforcement SUV from the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office to serve as a hands-on teaching tool for our Law Enforcement program. This addition gives our students a powerful, real-world learning opportunity that will enhance training, strengthen skills, and deepen their understanding of careers in public safety. We extend our sincere appreciation to Sheriff Bill Rhyne and the entire Sheriff’s Office for their continued commitment to education and their strong support of DMTC students. Partnerships like this ensure our students gain authentic experiences that prepare them for successful careers in law enforcement and public service. Thank you for investing in education and in the future of our community! 👏 #DMTC #CareerReady #LawEnforcement #CommunityPartnership #PublicSafety
