As seen on the finale of House of the Year, I also got to visit Housestead by @saneihopkins - here's some pictures from my trip to the house. I thoroughly enjoyed being back presenting House of the Year for another season alongside @kevin.mccloud1 @natasha__huq It's always a provoking and inspiring role which gives me plenty of ideas to take back to the studio and share with the team at DMBA. @riba @granddesignstv

What a special evening last night - Damion in his role as lead judge, and Katharine Bracey, attended the Hertfordshire Residential Development Awards 2025 - Celebrating the very best of house design and construction in the Hertfordshire area. All in aid of a fantastic cause: The East & North Hertfordshire Hospitals' Charity. Thank you to our wonderful host Simon Cox, Walter Cooper... more photos to come!

Iterations and options are always a key part of our design process. Swipe to the end to get a glimpse of where these facade sketches led to.

Behind the Voice | Damion in Studio Fresh from the success of filming Top of the Stops, we headed into the studio with Damion to record the voice overs for the entire series, and what an experience it was! There’s something special about watching words come alive through tone, rhythm, and personality. Damion brought that unique energy to every line, shaping the sound of the series and giving it its signature feel. We can’t wait for you to hear it all when the campaign goes live. #VoiceOver #StudioSession #TopOfTheStops #CreativeProduction #BehindTheScenes

A Night at Old Sessions House Katharine and Damion recently attended an inspiring evening hosted by Newmark at the historic Old Sessions House, a gathering of colleagues old and new in one of London’s most striking heritage venues. Thank you to Graham Oliver and the Newmark team for the invitation and thoughtful conversations. The venue itself embodies what we value most in architecture: a light-touch restoration that lets the building’s original fabric and character shine through. At DMBA, we believe good design doesn’t erase the past, it allows it to breathe. Exploring Design Across Boundaries I was invited to present at Ravensbourne University London, a leading space for innovation where fashion, architecture, and business meet. The talk explored how cross-pollination between creative disciplines nurtures a richer design process, one that balances commercial acumen with creative experimentation. At DMBA, we believe design thrives in dialogue: between industries, between ideas, between the practical and the poetic. It’s in these intersections that the most human, enduring spaces are born.

In an age of pixels and render engines, there’s something grounding about pencil on paper. Before screens glow and models spin, we begin with the quiet scratch of graphite, the first translation of an idea into form. Sketching reminds us that design isn’t born from software, but from stillness, thought, and the simple act of drawing a line. #Architecture #Sketch #DesignProcess #DMBA #ArchitectureStudio #DrawingBoard
