Today we checked out Dr. Nitscheās Material Interactive Project Studio, where graduate students explored cultural objects through embodied experiences with material. These projects pushed beyond traditional making, integrating material and electronics to create immersive, interactive systems. Each work demonstrated how meaning can emerge through touch, interaction, and responsive design, turning complex ideas into dynamic installations.
Donāt forget to RSVP for Demo Day this Thursday, April 23, to explore more projects from graduate students in Digital Media and HCI. #gatech #digitalmedia

Weāre hosting the Spatial Scholarship Field School, a community-building initiative for the interdisciplinary field of Science, Technology and Society, focused on advancing creative methods and theory to support critical public engagement about the societal implications of spatial technologies.
We invite junior STS scholars (doctoral level graduate students, recent graduates from doctoral programs (less than 3 years out), or post-docs) from across the United States to spend three-and-a-half days with us at the midtown campus of Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Georgia. This year, the activities of the Spatial Scholarship Field School will focus on āSpatial Technologies in the Normal City,ā an organizing theme that will critically investigate how āsmartā technologies for civic and private life encode and enforce spatial norms
