Almas Desoladas is an exploration of beauty where it is not meant to exist. I was inspired by 19th-century dolls, who once were cherished, held, and loved within domestic spaces. This work draws from objects that have outlived their original purpose. Now displaced and marked by time, they exist in a state of quiet abandonment, where wear, damage, and absence become visible. It seeks a beauty beyond mass-produced ideals: a fragile, unsettling beauty found in what time alters rather than erases.
