Moundscape / Dreamscape / Roofscape
The project reconceives infill as a process of “filling in,” drawing on Fort Point’s history of landfilling. A constructed mound is wedged between two existing buildings. From this ground condition, a mat building escapes the site to meet the Boston Children’s Museum in the form of a long bar, organizing artist studios before inserting a new nucleus, a stage and auditorium, within the museum.
