The collection was created as a conversation around the construction of Pļaviņu HES
and the flooding of Daugava rivers old valley. These events serve as a background for a
larger discussion about the role of individual and collective memory in our society, the
interaction between temporal and natural power, and the coexistence of the emotional and
pragmatic side of a person.
