Wow, been away from social media for so long this account might as well be inactive. But today is a special day as it is the release date of a very cool title I had the pleasure to contribute to! Big thanks to @artbyheb who brought this amazing opportunity back with him from Irvine.

Another Tales of Vesperia fan art! This is Estelle, a princess that may be next in line for the imperial throne who left the city to travel with Yuri and the rest of the team.
This is a mini course done in collaboration with @wingfoxstudio which will be published soon as an introductory course to the main one!
I am also taking this opportunity to develop my personal style further and trying to streamline and polish off my painting process.

Okay I'm calling this one done. Full image crop on artstation (link in bio) as Instagram still locks the dimension based on the first image of your post and I couldn't get full image crop without sacrificing the rest... (Tips anyone?)
I had other ideas to include the palamute and palico as part of the image but I decided to narrow my focus here. I want to start doing lots of smaller and quicker studies moving forward so this is where I call this one done!

I don't usually post about food, but I really appreciated this amazing dinner when even delivery partners are hard to find due to COVID and heavy rain in Taipei.
I walked around outside to see what food options I had as uber was practically paralyzed by the heavy rain and came across this little store front right next to our post partum care center.
Super nice owner and deliiiiiiiicious chicken leg just like he promised!
Last but not least, I didn't even see the nice little msg to congratulate us on our newborn daughter until I got back to our room.

Calling this one done for now I think. Some more things popped into mind that I wanted to add but I want to move onto the next piece to further polish off my new knowledge and workflow.
Quite the learning experience in terms of edge control, value and colors. Had all these sudden clarities as I went through the piece.
Hoping to do the next one better. I will most likely start with less refined edge and avoid the use of lasso tools at the beginning to keep the image more lively.
Once I get through these I want to go back to focus on design and line drawings a bit, 2021 resolution!

Sneaked in a few hours in the last few days. Still lots to change but I'm making some head ways on developing some new approaches. Feeling pretty good about this so far!
I'll probably attempt to stylize this more the next chance I get.
Judith will be one of the practices and I will go on to hit a few more characters from Tales of Vesperia after this to to feel out a few more approaches to style and stuff :)
