Today marks 18 years since I walked straight into my destiny, and my heart still remembers every detail as if it happened this morning.
On May 5th, 2008, I walked into a computer store looking for a laptop… and walked out having found my life’s greatest gift. I never get tired of telling this story because it’s the day God, fate, and grace all conspired on my behalf.
I remember seeing you, this elegant, commanding woman leading the entire store with quiet confidence and effortless beauty. You weren’t just part of the room… you were the room. I got the laptop I wanted that day, but truthfully, even if they didn’t have my specs, I would have still bought something because the CEO in red heels was my real specification.
From that moment, I found every excuse to return. Every “quick visit” became a chapter in the friendship we were building, souls tying themselves together without asking for permission. I asked you out. You made me wait two years. And by the third, we were married… and the rest has been the most beautiful history I’ve ever lived.
