4th-11th June. Precious and cherished Barbella family time. Spent some valuable time with my family out in Marbella and got to also go out to one of the most famous restaurants in the area Los Bandidos @bandidosbanus and had we had a wonderful time. Especially and as we were also enjoying it as an early anniversary treat for my Mum and Stepfather.❤️ Was wonderful to spend this time with my brother Liam @gilbertl1 as well with life keeping us busy. Rock on bro. This short trip out to Spain was a very busy and difficult one for the fam, but we tried to make the most of things together.🫂 Couldn’t help as well, but finally crack on and try and ‘get over my damn reading procrastination’, and actually get some good reading started which I want to finish a series of before the end of the year.🤞🏼 For this I finally resumed one of my all-time favourite Manga #spiceandwolf alongside the pool. That is, for as long as I could before the midges/mosquitoes came out. Haha Hope to stick with it this time. Ukraine war 4 year anniversary commemorative art piece. The world recently marked the four year anniversary of the full scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia on the 24th of February 2022. Although heartbreakingly for Ukrainians and all of us foreigners broad in the know on the outside, this war has been going on for a lot, lot longer than this. So many across the world were given the warning signs again and again, yet refused to act. 2022 was finally a returning point in this towards clarity, and although progress has been made in going against the tide of complicatness in Russia and it’s proxies acts, it has been fraught with struggles neverendingly again and again from so many sides. All this while Ukrainians continue to suffer who are our allies. In these times now of truly absolute uncertainty around the world, we must stay united in every way we can, with hands stretched out to help in any ways we can. Here we are again. At the end of another revolution round the Sun. 2025, you have been one of, if not the most difficult and testing year of my entire life. Not since the start of 2017 have I been through so much. People have moved on that I felt would be around for a long time still, there have been tragedies and family losses that have broken our hearts. Life has been turned upside down and an accident has meant I don’t know 100% if my life will be the same again. But at the same time, I feel like I have been truly woken up more than I have been in a very long time to what really matters. Those who really matter in my life when needed most and to remember my physical and mental health need to take central focus for me, and it might now be working. Remembered that life moves ‘incredibly quick’, things can change so fast ‘in the blink of an eye’, but also that it’s not too late to set things right. I don’t have all the answers yet, and I may stumble both literally and in achievements, but I feel that I am heading in the right direction. To quote the chapters of Anne Shirley, “I have learnt to look upon each Little hindrance as a jest and each great one as for shadowing of victory.” I hope I can believe in these words, and make them so. There’s no guarantee that things will be different in 2026… but I’m going to make a good go at it. This Reel says it truly best. Can’t believe still a few days ago I finally reached this new milestone birthday on my life’s journey.🎊 What a crazy thing to think that I’m still trying to wrap my head around, but I still feel very much myself.😊 Thank you so much again too all my great friends and relatives for the wonderful birthday best wishes.❤️ I think you can guess very much what I took the train to Plymouth to see in the IMAX to celebrate. WAS AMAZING.🤘🏼🔥 In the end though somehow, even after 10+ years and meaning to rewatch it for so so long, my all-time favourite movie was still able to beat this experience on this day in marking it. Wolf Children, you are an absolute masterpiece and a part of my soul.🫂❤️ Was great getting back to Falmouth afterwards in time for some good drinks out with friends.🍻 You guys rock.
