For three decades, TeeBee has been a foundational architect of drum & bass.
From pioneering dark, sci-fi-laced techstep to dominating the global circuit as one half of Calyx & TeeBee, the Norwegian producer was part of one of the first non-UK act to reach the genre’s absolute summit.
Now, he’s stepping out of the machine and returning to his solo roots. His latest album, Cosmic Carnival, on Flexout Audio strips back the gloss for a raw, futuristic homage to the classic D&B blueprint.
We caught up with the mastermind to discuss his departure from the majors, his deep dive into the physics of sound, and what lies beyond 170 BPM.
