I had to bring the water-themed mixes to the pool. This morning-after brunch at the @ritzcarltonreynoldslakeoconee last weekend was a pleasure to rock 🤘 We kept the vibes rolling like the after party never ended.

If you are a classic Hip-Hop fan, you REALLY enjoyed this year. Not so much if you are a crossover "Hip-Pop" fan, though. 2025 saw Rap fall off the top 40 of Billboard's Top 100 list for the first time since 1990. But it turns out that was actually a good thing for a genre that most of us feel had become too commercialized and inauthentic. But fortunately the OG over 40 legends came out to remind us what we have been missing! 💪
We also felt like this was the first year WITHOUT a "Song of the Summer" in decades. Nothing really stood out, with maybe the exception of "Golden" from KPop Demon Hunters. You gotta give credit where it's due, that movie and soundtrack are 🔥🔥🔥 and every kid knows it backwards and forwards. By avoiding the commercialization and market saturation of previous blockbusters like Frozen, Demon Hunters stayed cool and never blew up to the point of being obnoxious. 🫡
