It is by Sokabe Keiichi & The Inokasira Rangers on Parktone Records out of Japan. Loving this new spin on one of my all time favorite records. Sidebar - seeing Underworld live many years ago still remains one of my favorite shows of all time (at All Points West Festival in New Jersey, Radiohead was also on the bill).

4/20/26 ~ What an absolutely amazing experience DJ’ing the One Mile to Go Block Party in Kenmore Square for the Boston Marathon this week. I DJ’d a six hour set and would have played six more hours in a heartbeat if I could have. Still glowing. Favorite day of the year in Boston just leveled up once again.
Just wanted to say that I am beyond grateful for such special opportunities and thankful to all that continue to put their trust in me on musical duties.

#vinyloftheday - 1983 release from Huey Lewis and the News. This album was their third release and hit number 1 in the Summer of 1984. The tracks on this album were all written specifically with the aim to be hit singles (as opposed to focusing on one or two tracks). I love Huey Lewis straight up and I've always been bummed I didn't see him before health issues prevented him from touring some years back.
"Heart of Rock & Roll", "If This Is It", "I Want a New Drug", and "Heart and Soul" (a cover) all crush off this record.
