This year I’ve showed a lot of love to my Filipino culture. TBH, more than I ever have in my DJ career and I’m hyped that I’ve had a lot of opportunities to do so.
I’ve held on to this interview and never shared it on social media until now. I was pretty vulnerable during this interview. That’s probably why or maybe because I was a fat boy. I definitely lost 25lbs since this video haha.
I’ve a lot of parties this year where I represented my culture and to be DJing the Seafood City “Late Night Madness” party is the icing on the cake!

“Angelo began playing guitar by ear at the age of twelve. Growing up in the basements of southeast Seattle, he found music to be a spiritual experience, with funk as its language, and artists like Hendrix and Santana as guiding lights.” — Angelo V. Pizarro Bio
From Seattle to Toronto, Angelo shared his music across the U.S. and Canada — performing at festivals, museums, and community spaces — leaving audiences “electrified and breathless” wherever he played.
After his passing in December 2024, his wife, Annette Pizarro, founded the Angelo Velasco Pizarro Music Scholarship Fund (AVPMSF) 🕊️ to honor his legacy by helping young musicians pursue their passion. A self-taught artist with a multicultural, improvisational style, Angelo believed deeply in supporting the next generation of creatives.

Across visual art, wearable design, and sound, this exhibition explores identity as layered, shifting, and never singular. Each work offers a distinct perspective, shaped by different histories, mediums, and ways of seeing, yet existing together within a shared space.
Faces blur. Forms evolve. Garments reimagined. Sound carries what words cannot.
What emerges is not one narrative, but many, intersecting, contrasting, and unfolding in real time.
The space becomes a living portrait, reflecting the multiplicity of who we are, and who we are still becoming. Not who we were. Not yet who we’ll be.
