Welp @officialenginedj actually did it!
The @ranedj System One now has on-board stem rendering
Now you don’t have to worry about your stems not being rendered on a laptop before the gig
Now you can do it all on the hardware!
Can’t wait to see what’s next!
Sundays mean Late Checkout
It’s been awhile since I brought my 📸 out to @luckydayvegas to shoot flicks.
Had to get a couple shots of the homie @djgoodchill playing LC with @djbstang and myself for the first time.
Was a fun night.
Check the last slide to see HOW fun it was.
Double/Half time DJ transitions aren’t new.
But stems can make them sounds SO much cleaner.
Mix in using the stem effects to switch out instrumentals gives it another level of depth!
3 miles 3 tips Vol 5
No theme this time, just a couple random tips!
• Learn to DJ without the need for intro edits
• Cut the bass from your hardware FXs
• No heavy meals right before the gig
PS: DJs this is your sign to get up and move your body for like 30-60mins. Doesn’t have to be running. Just get up and move around!
I was asked this recently…
What camera would I recommend for shooting your DJ sets?
While the @insta360 X5 is probably one of the most useful (if you can get it setup right).
My pick for anyone just starting to shoot their own DJ sets is actually the Ace Pro 2.
While the X5 is great, editing 360 footage can be a pain for those just starting out.
The Ace Pro 2 is a great balance of features and ease of use and that’s why it’s my top pick!

Friendly reminder.
If you use a MacBook to DJ with, there is a 99.99% chance you will never need the latest Mac OS.
In fact, choosing NOT to update will probably save you from unnecessary headaches.
So just don’t do it. 🤷🏻♂️
Open booths.
They can bring some extra energy, but they can also cause some unexpected challenges.
As a DJ you can get upset about it, or you can accept it and work around it.
Especially at a new venue, the last thing you want is to be rude to the wrong person.
Just take it in stride and get the job done!

Finding your “tribe” as a DJ is a great way to fast track your progress.
When you surround yourself with people that care about the same thing (DJing) as you, but have a different perspective, it can open you up to new ideas.
