A DANCEFLOOR FAVORITE
A masterclass in Southern Soul. Right from that opening bassline, O.V. Wright takes you straight to church.
Released in 1978 on his “The Wright Stuff” album, this track is a deep and emotional storytelling. Nobody could convey pain, vulnerability, and hope quite like O.V.
His gravelly, passionate vocals don’t just sing the lyrics—they, live them.
One of my favorites warming up the dancefloor 😮💨

Why music it’s so important in crazy times like the ones we are living?
A DJ can transform a dancefloor into a sanctuary of liberation by treating their curation as a “narrative of healing and collective expression”.
This unique experience that I bring for you in my sets, is often built on a groovy style, that allow people to “forget the current state of the world” and find freedom through uninhibited movement.
Let’s keep dancing… see you tonight!!!

As a Latino raised in Venezuela, the rhythm is part of me. You can’t tell the story of 90s dance music without mentioning the legends @proyectouno “The KINGS of MerenHouse”.
You’ll be hard-pressed to find a Latina or Latino person who doesn’t go off when they hear the horn-laden, two bar intro sampled from “Got to Be Real.”
This infectious anthem is Proyecto Uno’s biggest, most recognizable hit, and besides sampling Cheryl Lynn’s disco classic, it features elements from “Rap-O Clap-O,” by beloved musician @therealjoebataan .
You couldn’t go to a Quinceañeras parties in the 90s without dancing this hit!!!

Since I arrived in this country, I’ve been a barista, a Spanish teacher, a sandwich maker, a DJ, and a dishwasher. If you know me, you know I have no room for mediocrity, laziness, or complacency.
I’m bringing together everything I’ve learned over nearly 9 years in California to create a “Unique Experience” for your senses.
Sunday, May 17th since 8 am at @mhahgallery , will be the first experiment of this new chapter in my life.
Let’s enjoy this journey together.

A DANCEFLOOR FAVORITE
Steve Monite’s “Only You” was almost lost to history.
Released in 1984, this Nigerian Afro-boogie masterpiece was too futuristic for its time.
Producer Nkono Teles used a Moog synth to create those “space-age” basslines that sound just as fresh in 2026 as they did more than 40 years ago.
After decades of obscurity, it was “rescued” by crate diggers and eventually covered by artists like Frank Ocean and Tame Impala.
Now, it’s a staple in sets that need that perfect blend of soul and electronic energy.
A good reminder that great music never truly dies, it just waits for the right dance floor 😮💨
