@ventura_velocity turned into a full surprise baby shower.

@move_withmanny for helping make it happen. he reached out asking her for a “big favor.” told her he and the class had been missing her and that it would be great if she could come by before the baby gets here so everyone could see her… and take some videos since he needed new content. *seed planted*
the funny part is this all went down on valentine’s day. so yeah, you can imagine the shit I was getting for making my pregnant wife wake up at 6am to come to a gig with me 😅 looking back now tho, that just makes the surprise even better.
while I was catching heat, we were quietly working out the details. baby theme, decorations, family in the room, and a playlist (mixed by yours truly) packed with songs that had baby, mommy, and daddy in them.
when she walked in that morning, she was shook. no clue this was happening (probably because it was early and she was still waking up, but I’ll take it). what made it even more special was having her mom, sister, and cousins there too.
huge thank you again to Manny and the entire VelociFam for hosting us and showing up the way you did ⚡️the surprise was for her, but we were both honestly blown away. the love, the kindness, the diapers, the clothes - all of it means the world to us. we’re incredibly lucky to be surrounded by this kind of community. truly thankful 💙
