We said goodbye to our Canela girl early this morning. She was in her favorite place, our bed, cuddled in between us. She was peaceful and she let us love her to the very last minute.
Our week started by taking her to the hospital because she refused to eat. We thought it was a stomach situation and we would be taking our girl home for business as usual. It ended up being IMHA and after a blood transfusion and a tough fight, my girl was ready. We got notified yesterday that there wasn’t much else to be done other than to take her home and be with her. Which is exactly what we did.
Rescuing Canela and Rey really turned @djecho and I into a family. These two have seen so many milestones and really grown with this family. I’m so happy she got to meet her brother Santi, who has been asking for his “NahNahhhh” all week long.
She was a feisty girl and that showed to her last days.
We love you so much mama girl! You’re always always always our girl!!!!! 🤍
