I’m still trying to process the news I received last night around 10pm that You left us on Feb 18th around 9:30pm It Definitely was the HARDEST dj gig/shift of my career. Trying to hold everything in for the next 4hrs, trying to talk on the mic 🎤 Trying to drive almost an hour home, and now trying to write something for you. I miss you grandpa 😭 Even though you were my mom’s stepdad you were my only grandpa. I wouldn’t want anyone else. You definitely were our Rock, The Fighter. You taught us To work hard for what we want & you definitely proved that. People ask me “How did you get the name Cheps?” I know it all started as a joke when I was little when you finally arrived in this country but just know that I have dj friends across the World now that know that name so Thank You Grandpa. I know I have a lot to say & write but it’s just so difficult to process this right now. You were the reason why I’m a Lakers, Dodgers, Football, Soccer sports Fan since 1983 so Thank You! These last 15+yrs I Thank God he kept you alive. You battled & battled this cancer so I’m forever Grateful we got to spend extra time with you even if it was in the hospital, taking you out, eating tacos, Family functions, or just sitting there watching sports. Grandpa I’m not gonna lie but I’m gonna miss those times with you... 😭 I can’t complain because I know you’re in a better place now (Not Suffering) and in Heaven. We live in a world that goes by “Time” don’t waste anymore of that time & spend it with your Loved ones & never hold any grudges, tell them you love them, squeeze them a lil extra hard because we forget that we’re only here for a temporary time. It’s not about being the Best, it’s not about who has more money or driving the better car, it’s about showing people you have a heart because that’s Priceless & will forever be cherished. I miss you grandpa, don’t worry about the Familia because we got each other just like you taught us.
