As a DJ I love dance parties (obviously) and since the pandemic I've trained to work in schools as an Education Assistant. Why not combine the two?
Every Thursday and Friday I work at the same school and organize a dance party outside at lunchtime recess (Thursdays are Kindergarten to Grade 3 and Fridays Grade 4 to 7). The school has over 700 kids so the turnout is always around 100 kids. I bring out my speaker and microphone and we do a random mishmash of organized dances. Usually start with a group dance like the Macarena or Cha Cha Slide, then a current Top 40 song or something else they can all sing along to and maybe an old school throwback like Backstreet Boys or Usher.
It's the funnest part of my day (and apparently theirs) they stop me in the halls every time they see me! "ARE WE HAVING A DANCE PARTY TODAY?" sometimes they will tell me their favourite songs or pass me little pieces of paper with song requests scribbled in pencil. It also teaches kids how to DANCE, lose their inhibitions and gets rid of lots of energy! It's also an important life skill, kids who would never dare dance in public a few months ago are now at the front of the group busting a move.
Once a DJ, always a DJ...

Had the amazing opportunity to DJ at the 76th FIFA Congress in Vancouver, and it turned into a full-on vibe.
