Queer prom was so nostalgic and wonderfully fun! Not only was I reminded of the importance of safe spaces for the queer community, I was also reminded of how beautiful it is to be able to walk in your Truth and show up as you are. So many of us did not get to go to prom and if we did, we didn’t get to go with who we wanted to go with. The fact that @dj.dyops & @lush.dance.party put this on every year it gives me so much joy. And let me tell you our friends didn’t come to play. They came to sleigh. Everyone looked so good. And it was a childlike joy that I saw at each and everyone of you. Principal Burnett was very PROUD!

LUSH QUEER PROM SPOTLIGHT: DJ DYOPS DYOPS is the founder, co-producer and resident DJ for LUSH at Vintage Space in The Flamingo Resort. She partners with queer-owned Spite Fitness to create themed events with guest DJs, local and Bay Area drag queens and kings, burlesque and go-go dancers.
