I finally got around to creating a separate space for my events and gigs…
To start — a little bit more about me and why I’m here:
Clamazon aka V Nice is a DJ who is driven to foster spaces that build and celebrate intentional community while also creating the sweatiest, consensually grindiest dance floors. Originally hailing from the west coast, they have been living and playing music on the east coast for the last 18 years.

It’s our birthday! 🥳
On May 13th, we will be celebrating our first birthday back where we started at @citystatedc ! @gainstthegrain will kick things off with a salsa class, and then the floor will open for dancing with @dj.clamazon .
Since starting last May, we have danced with over 1,000 different dancers and donated over $5,000 to charities and mutual aid funds. It has been such a privilege to be able to introduce so many of you to our love of dancing, and to have made so many friends along the way. The past year has been an amazing journey, and we are just getting started.

Rumba Queer is coming to @transmission.dc for the first time on Friday February 20.
The night starts with two traditional bachata classes taught by @aciela_k (beginner from 7–8pm and intermediate from 8–9pm). No dance partner is required. Tickets for the dance class include the rest of the event.
From 9–11pm, we’ll have bachata and salsa social dancing, with no dance partner or experience required. All levels are welcome and encouraged. Music by @dj.clamazon
From 11pm–1am, the space shifts into a Latin club night with baile funk, neoperreo, and dembow, with music by @tr0pigal

Rumba Queer will be back at @crushdancebar on Wednesday January 28th for our LGBTQ salsa and bachata dance party!

@gainstthegrain will start the night with a beginners salsa on2 lesson. No experience or dance partner is required.
