Originally from Maryland, now a staple in the Denver scene, Devonte Brown, aka @dizzygotdubz , is a true veteran of the craft. With 15 years of production under his belt and a DJ career that began at just 12 years old, he was quite literally born into sound system culture through the family business, Emperor Sound. That lifelong immersion is evident in his deep, technical selections, landing him on powerhouse labels like @deepdarkand_dangerous , @thegradientperspective , @ldh_records , @hemi.wav , @nicendeadly , @sum.r.r , @bhump_records , @defy_culture , and @cimmerianrecords . Playing at @bigdubfestival , @theblackbox5280 , @cervantesmasterpiece , @larimerlounge , and the legendary @mishawaka_amphitheatre among others, Dizzy! brings a seasoned energy to every room he plays. His Jamaican roots combined with his love of Southern Hip-Hop influence his style of dubstep, blending deep basslines with reggae dub percussive and melodic elements, topped with nostalgic yet bold vocals.
