This time last week I went to see Project Hail Mary in imax. And it was a bit of a mad moment getting a credit. Loved the book and the film did such a great job with the story.
So grateful to Neal and the whole team for the opportunity to work on this film, and bringing Rocky to life. Was amazing to see it happen.
A couple of Foam latex mask painted with rubber cement + oils paint and then wicked inks.
This is before any teeth eyes were added.
They were then flicked and furred.
But unfortunately this was an unused design.

A new trailer came out for this yesterday, and I’m so excited for it to come out next year.
In 2024 I went back into the creature mould shop at pinewood for this. Honestly was a great few months, with a great team and loved doing more workshop stuff. And although I only played a tiny role in creating this alien it was just so cool to see it come to life.

After finishing my last job a few weeks ago I took a mini break to sort my kit and my house and have a bit of a life plus the prosthetics event and some wrap parties. But now I’m ready to be creative again and get to my little studio. Starting with painting this beautiful mask from Sebastian Lochman that a picked up a few months ago but haven’t had time to paint. Next year I’m gonna try balancing my own projects more while working. Even though I know it won’t happen. #worklifebalance
