This is all about the doshas… ✨
You’ve heard about Vata, Pitta, and Kapha—but what do they actually feel like in real life?
In this workshop, the amazing Dr. Nambi @dr.nambi_ayurveda will guide us through how to recognize these doshic patterns through your energy, digestion, emotions, cravings, sleep, and daily rhythms—and in Part 2, I will show you how you can gently bring you back into balance with the food you prepare.
You are all three doshas—you don’t have to fit yourself into just one label. 😊
You just need to learn the language of your body.

🌸 Swades in the States - a Vegetarian Biryani Event 🌸
Itwas such an honor to host this @ptal.usa event and meet the amazing Chef Natasha Gandhi @natashaagandhi , who taught us how to make a delicious vegetarian biryani.
Then Chef Teja Paruchuri @vismaifoodies spontaneously jumped into my kitchen to show me his quick recipe for lemon rice 🤩
That evening, my separation from India was alleviated just a bit… I miss India so much ☀️🐄
Thank you, dear Tikkuji @mistertikku and Aditya @bartanwala.aditya , for presenting the beautiful Ptal cookware and dining ware with such grace and passion. And thank you, @ishathak , for the sumptuous dinner. 🙏
The vegetarian (or vegan) lasagna you’ve been dreaming about 🥰
Our lasagna is special because it’s prepared with Ayurvedic principles of food compatibility so you can enjoy every bite and digest it with ease. 😋
Rich in vegetables and plant-based protein, made with organic pasta, housemade cashew milk, and organic olive oil… it leaves you feeling nourished, satisfied, and grounded, but never heavy. 😊
Join us for dinner and experience it for yourself ✨
And from our full hearts: thank you for all your support of our GoFundMe campaign. You’re helping us preserve a legacy of food that cares for people and the planet. 🍀
Yesterday, teaching Part 2 of the Heal Your Gut with Ayurveda workshop. 😃
Many thanks to all of you who attended! Feel free to comment and share what you’ve learned. 🙏
Special gratitude to @ptal.usa for gifting my new favorite tin-coated copper saucepan and stock pot. They elevate my cooking experience to a whole new level. 🤩

Please help me save 10 year old women-owned East Village staple, @divyas.nyc ❤️
Divya’s was one of the first restaurants I tried when I moved to New York.. since then I’ve eaten there every week for the last 4 years. The intention behind every menu item is unmatched.
My favorites are the crispy sunflower salad, the beet hummus, and the build your own bowl (with the sweet and smoky paneer protein). They are also available on delivery services and it tastes just as good to-go.
If you can stop by and show them some love, it would be beyond appreciated. Please share and let’s save Divaya’s!
This workshop could change your health, your relationship with food, your life. ☀️
Join me and Dr Niveditha @drnivedithas_ayurveda for this discussion and practical application in your kitchen on how to make food your friend and your medicine. 😃
This weekend: April 18-19, 10 am - 1 pm ET
Live online with available recordings for all who register.

We can’t keep saying “𝙛𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙞𝙨 𝙢𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙚” + community is essential …and not support the very spaces that bring that philosophy to life. 💜
👩🏻🍳 The moment you walk in at Divya’s Kitchen—an Ayurvedic, plant-based sanctuary tucked into the Lower East Side in Manhattan, NY—something shifts. @divyaskitchennyc@divyas.nyc
The noise softens. The body exhales. The nervous system settles. This isn’t just a restaurant— 𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝.
🌿 Every dish is rooted in Ayurveda.
🫂 Every ingredient is chosen with care.
👀 Every label gently guides you—vata, pitta, kapha… or tridoshic balance.
👉🏼Our favorite? The 1st pic. The 𝙎𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙆𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙝𝙙𝙞—warm, grounding, deeply nourishing. And yes… paneer in khichdi surprised me too—in the best way. The mint chutney reminded me of my Mom’s kitchen 💜
But beyond the food, it’s the people. Chef Divya @divyaalter doesn’t just create meals—she lives this philosophy. You can feel it in every bite, every detail, every interaction.
✨ This is what “food as medicine” actually looks like.
✨ This is what community-centered healing feels like.
And right now, 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭. If we truly believe in conscious living, healing foods, and mindful spaces…this is the moment to show up.
