Division will be supporting @risingsonuk on Thursday, 18th December 2025 at @ram_jam_records , 463 Richmond Road, Kingston upon Thames. Division was first platformed by Rising Son many years ago, and the two have since collaborated on several tracks. Both Rising Son and Division have worked with US hip hop legends including @nas , @royceda59 and @kxngcrooked . Division has since won rap contests and was personally hand picked by @therealdougefresh for his verse on the @yo_mtv_raps_ , @footlocker , @puma.uk contest.

Wonderful performances all round @poetrypaintpalette with her thought-provoking Countdown; @lunarlaylawrites and her imaginative take on motherhood; @jameslinton457 reminding us that every small action counts; @versesofthepath delivering a powerful reflection on how racism can feel dehumanising; @mabintyesho serving a poetic cocktail of her favourite beverages; and @johnnydobbyn and @justminnie.a sharing their respective lessons in love.
It was also an incredible experience hearing @saeedhirad perform his fully memorised debut piece on masking — it genuinely deepened my personal understanding of neurodiversity.
My own piece was a story about my brother — originally told by my mother, retold in a rap-poetic, deeply emotive storytelling style, with a twist. Huge thanks to @iamkotodama for the beautiful acoustic rendition that elevated the emotional texture of the piece.

Had an amazing time at @poets_palace 🙌
Incredible atmosphere, brilliant audience, and a fantastic host – big shoutout to @casey__arturo for keeping the energy high right till the end.
Massive respect to @iamkotodama , whose guitar improv was unreal – creating beautiful live renditions tailored to every artist’s style. Honestly felt like he was the @eminem of guitar improvisation 🎸🔥
Loved hearing such a strong lineup of talented poets: @saeedhirad , @mike.j.ominira , @9oetic6ustic3 , @af_life25 , @cc_rose_official – pure creativity all night. And of course, big shout out to the champ @amanandart - additionally thanks to him for recording my set.
The piece I performed is about my niece, Emily, who recently turned 4. Originally written as a 32-bar verse, I reimagined it to fit a spoken-word audience. Performing it felt special, and the way it was received meant a lot to me. Enjoy the snippet!!
Hopefully one day, when she’s older, she’ll appreciate it too ❤️
