DIVE PRESENTS Sweeping Promises. Live At No Fun (275 River Street - Troy NY) 11/8/2026. Early Sunday Show with doors at 5 PM and show at 6 PM. Vibe - New Wave / Post Punk / DIY.
Ticket Information - On sale Friday 10 AM on No Fun’s Eventbrite. $16 ADV / $20 Door.
More about the show:
Sweeping Promises was born in a disused and reverberant concrete laboratory in Cambridge, MA. Tracked with a self-devised “single-mic technique” and mixed in mono, serial band-starters Lira Mondal and CauField Schnug completed their debut, Hunger for a Way Out, just in time to enter quarantine. With only a single basement show under their belt, the band received an unexpectedly wide reception, firstly in online punk circles, and eventually stretching beyond.
In 2023, having gotten the chance to tour the USA and abroad with live drummer Spenser Gralla, the duo relocated to their new home and DIY recording compound in Lawrence, KS, and released their sophomore album, Good Living is Coming for You, on Feel It Records (US) and Sub Pop (EU/UK). The album received wide critical acclaim for its pop songwriting and idiosyncratic punk production and led to yet more touring, boosting the band’s reputation as a fierce live act.
We are thrilled to welcome back Sweeping Promises to No Fun after an incredible set back in 2024. Swipe for photos by Brandon Stewart from said gig. Support TBA. GO TO SHOWS!

DIVE PRESENTS Pearl And The Oysters. Live At Saratoga Arts (320 Broadway - Saratoga Springs NY) 7/23/2026. Vibe - Jazz Pop / Art Rock / Retrofuturism. Stoked for the first of many at this rad theater that sits alongside beautiful Congress Park.
Ticket Information - On sale Friday 10 AM on Eventbrite (link in bio). $18 ADV / $22 Door. Very excited for our first proper show in Saratoga Springs. Pint Sized pop up bar in the galleries. More info on support acts, food pop up, visuals & more. Spread the word!
More about the show:
Pearl & the Oysters, international adventurers in eclectic pop, crash-landed their starship in Los Angeles in the year 2020. Born and schooled in Paris, the couple launched a nomadic romance fueled by music that would later see them crooning in New York jazz clubs, then wading the swampy waters of American DIY art rock in Gainesville, Florida.
Today in L.A., the band’s evolving sound complements a buoyant moment in a scene where their brand of space age jazz-pop is more than welcome.
Juliette Pearl Davis and Joachim Polack met on the first day of high school in Paris - bespectacled Juju and curlyhaired Jojo, both music-obsessed, nerdy, and drawn together by a “poetic connection” and mutual heroes unusual for high schoolers, like Burt Bacharach, Kurt Weill and especially, Antônio Carlos Jobim.
At college, pursuing musicology degrees at the Sorbonne, a romantic connection emerged. Today, Juliette and Joachim’s shared journey as love partners and music-makers gifts listeners with a rare experience in pop music - the output of a near-telepathic musical language grown over decades of 24/7 connection and collaboration.
Joachim’s influences of Tropicália, analog synths, Juliette’s love for jazz, and the Great American Songbook, and the pair’s shared delight in global pop fusion groups like Yellow Magic Orchestra has alchemized into the kaleidoscopic world-building sound of Pearl & the Oysters. Don’t miss this incredible band’s stop at the Spa City.
It’s getting warmer out. Grab a couple cans. Enjoy outside. Pint Sized is a hop skip and a jump from Washington Park in Albany & Congress Park in Saratoga Springs. See your friends irl.

More About The Show:
There is a beauty in listening to music made in the spirit of energetic transformation. When the sounds transform the air and the listener. This record transports the listener into the heart of the music of Mdou Moctar. The blending of intention and motivation creates a burst of sound that embraces and shakes and invites one to dance! It invites one to breathe. It invites one to be in solidarity with the music. It invites one to be in touch with the human condition.
A sound that carries weight makes an impact. A sound that carries time transcends time. We are not only listening to music but we are living through it. We are living with it. We are living in it. The artist sees history and makes poetry from it for the present. Mdou Moctar’s Funeral For Justice requests your presence. Show up open to the celebration of life, loved as it should be loved. Experience the exaltation and exuberance. The words speak of ascension, awareness, sorrow, apathy, knowing, and growth.
The guitars speak of power, energy, jubilation, transcendency, immediacy, and tradition. The drums and percussion mark the pulse of now as well as a timeless dance that involves us all, as it did those that came before us. The wires that carry the message feel alive with fire and purpose, explosive with possibility.
So join Mdou Moctar in this funeral for justice, knowing rebirth is possible. A new justice is possible. With your voice, your heart, your dance, your stomp, a new justice is born. Mdou Moctar welcomes you with joy and open arms. Be here. Feel here and do, alongside this music.
DIVE PRESENTS Tim Kasher, Old Canes & Dan LaFave and Craig Dutra. Live At The Hangar (675 River Street - Troy NY) 5/30/2026. Vibe - Indie Rock / Singer-Songwriter.
Ticket Information - General on sale NOW at the Hangar’s Eventbrite page. $18 ADV / $22 Door.
More About The Show:
Best known as the frontman for Midwestern outfits Cursive and the Good Life, Nebraska-born indie rocker Tim Kasher also makes literate and heavily thematic solo music that splits the difference between theatrical rock, chamber pop, and intimate indie singer / songwriter fare. He made his solo debut a full 15 years into band life, with The Game of Monogamy in 2010. Kasher continued to wrangle with the realities of adulthood into the next decade, including on his fourth solo album, 2022’s Middling Age.
Excited to welcome back to the capital region with an intimate solo set after back to back sold out shows with Cursive. Support for the show comes from Old Canes, a lo-fi project spearheaded by Christopher Crisci of Appleseed Cast. Our friends Dan Lafave & Craig Dutra kick off the show with a duo set. This is going to be a good one. See you there!

Opening sets from Ali and Jake of Laveda with their respective projects Untitled Freak & Retail Drugs. Fun experimental gig. Pack it out.
