GOED has officially appointed Philippe Ziade and George Alwan as Special Envoys for the State of Nevada — driving global trade, foreign investment, and international partnerships. Philippe will lead the charge in Europe and Africa, forging partnerships, driving investment, and expanding Nevada’s global reach and states future.

Big News! WAVR Technologies, founded on research from #UNLVEngineering’s Jeremy Cho and his team, announced last week new investments in its $4 million Seed Round from Desert Forge Ventures and Battle Born Venture, overseen by @diversifynevada . Their atmospheric water harvesting (AWH) technology can produce water 💧 even at 10% humidity — a game-changer for water-stressed regions. “Our technology fundamentally shifts what’s possible when it comes to sourcing water sustainably and increasing resilience for its users,” said Rich Sloan, CEO and co-founder of WAVR Technologies, the commercial startup built around the @unlv tech. “With this investment, we’re accelerating commercial pilot deployments to meet demand across commercial, industrial, agricultural, and municipal markets.” What’s next? WAVR will use the seed funding to expand pilot deployments, develop its team, and optimize performance of its proprietary AWH systems. 📣 Full announcement at the link in our bio.

GOED’s International team had the chance to explore cutting-edge technology at @alliancenainc in Henderson, Nevada today! Avrey & Amanda saw first hand the unique hybrid battery generator components that are exclusively crafted right here in #Nevada. After GOED organized the successful trade mission to Canada in September, the @alliancenainc team is continuing the conversations with potential Canadian clients to grow Nevada exports.

We’d say the first trade mission for @govjoelombardo ’s Administration was a complete success! The mission allowed us to showcase Nevada’s robust economic development strategy of Realizing Nevada’s Electric, Innovative, and Connected Future: https://ow.ly/zPkZ50PKNx7 as we seek to become a global leader in this new economy. Over 40 Nevada delegates met with various stakeholders in two Canadian Provinces, Quebec and Ontario, to expand Nevada's business opportunities and industry development.
