An XR course goes beyond the usual limits - deeper dives, longer bottom times, and environments that evolve significantly from what one experiences at shallower depths.
It also means staying longer at depth and surfacing through planned decompression - often using higher O₂ mixes to accelerate the process safely.
This video captures exactly that: time spent at depth, followed by staged decompression stops as they gradually make their way up - Rishab, Sohar and Sharan in the water.
It’s a separate course because everything changes as you descend deeper - detailed planning, precise gas management, redundant gear, and often multiple cylinders. No guesswork. Every move is intentional.

Huge congratulations to our very own Sudhakar @freediveandaman on becoming the Andamans’ first Advanced Level 2 Freediving Instructor AND only the third in India. From now on, he’ll be training students to freedive up to 30m… on a single breath. 😎😍
As his instructor @mario.fernandes.9 puts it - this achievement comes from a mix of his grit, consistency, and a whole lot of heart for the sport. And honestly, we couldn’t be more proud! 🩵

Hunting frenzy!
Jacks, also known as Trevally are some of the most formidable predators in the underwater world. Their sleek, powerful and hydrodynamic bodies let them accelerate up to speeds of 40-50 kmph! They often join together to ravage across the reef in well coordinated and swift hunting schools. These schools can sometimes also be made up of multiple species of fish, with Jacks forming the majority and seemingly setting the mood and tempo for the hunt.
