Directed by Amy-Joyce Hastings @amyjoyhas and starring Australian Actress of Irish descent Alison McGirr @ali_mcgirr this film is an adaptation of an award-winning short story that traces the quiet, defiant moment in which one woman dares to let go of the past and dive into the unknown.
Dive screened last week at The 34th Arizona International Film Festival in Tucson, Arizona.

Joseph Conlan @octobersongs
Our brilliant composer, Joseph Conlan, brings decades of experience across film and television to DIVE.
A two-time EMMY nominee and IFTA nominee, Joe is best known for his scores to feature films Verdigris and Behind Enemy Lines: Colombia, and to television series NCIS and Tour of Duty. After many years working in Los Angeles, he has recently been collaborating closely with filmmakers in Ireland, scoring features including Sunphlowers (Dave Byrne), Verdigris (Patricia Kelly) and Who We Love (Graham Cantwell), as well as short films Run (Caroline Grace-Cassidy & Róisín Kearney), Losing Game (Natalie Britton), and now DIVE, written and directed by Amy-Joyce Hastings.
Joe’s score brings emotional depth, restraint, and a powerful inner pulse to the film, grounding its sensory world with extraordinary precision. He is currently working on a new feature project with Dave Byrne.

Ours is opening strong with DIVE officially selected for the Chicago Irish Film Festival, following our Honourable Mention at Waterford International Film Festival at the close of last year.
Delighted to keep the film’s festival journey moving into the new year and to be part of a festival that continues to champion Irish storytelling.
