DivComm is rallying our community to take direct, tangible action by joining us Wednesday 11/19 at Houston Hall, for a Food Drive to support The Door, a youth development organization in Lower Manhattan.
As part of the food drive, Houston Hall is giving our one free beer for every donation of a non perishable item!
As planners, advocates, and New Yorkers, we know our city runs on connection and care. Right now, the federal government is neglecting the social safety nets that keep people insured, safe, and fed. This has created real uncertainty for families who rely on SNAP. Across the city, people are feeling the strain, and we can’t look away.
Join us next week at Houston Hall to support The Door and discuss ideas on how we can mobilize to meet this moment!
Let us know you’re coming through the link in our bio.
Join us next Tuesday for our October membership meeting! DivComm co-chair Collyn will be talking about her work with TOD at MTA and being a transportation planner. This meeting will be hybrid, but we hope to see you in person at the NYCDOT offices October 7th at 6:30pm.
