Rest in Peace to my biggest love. You were the best dog my family and I could have asked for. You were intelligent, funny, crazy, beautiful and our special babygirl. I’m still in shock over the fact that you’re gone but will always cherish the beautiful memories you’ve left in our hearts.
DCM is a fatal heart disease that affects about 1 in 100 dogs. Dobermans are on of the top breeds it is most commonly found in and although medication and therapies can be used, it’s a horrible inherited disease with no actual cure. This horrible disease took Gaias life last night at 4 1/2 years old.
It crushes my heart to know that I wasn’t home with her in her final moments…but I am so grateful to have all the amazing memories she’s given us these last 4 years locked in my heart.
It hurts so much writing this. I’m going to miss you so much, I love you with all my heart and I hope one day to see you again. You were more than just a dog, you were my little sister. Mi mancherai tantissimo ❤️ I love you.
