Rörstrand museum in Lidköping, Sweden. A small, but beautiful collection of 300 years of Swedish porcelain production. The Rörstrand brand moved the production abroad in 2005 and the buildings now host the museum, small shops and cafès and local companies.

Sweden has a long history of textile production. Kristinedals Ullspinneri AB was one example, utilizing water power from the nearby river for its production of wool textile. However, the factory closed down during the 1970s. The old factory buildings still remain in the beautiful surroundings, and a small textile shop continues to operate in one of them.
It’s a shame that such a place is left for the unknown and it would be inspiring to see it transformed into a cultural or creative place perhaps a center for exhibitions, workshops, and community events that celebrate the region’s rich industrial and textile heritage, but it is probably too fare out on the Swedish countryside to be an investment. Fingers crossed that it will happen some day 🤞🏻
