I am the Owner, Braider, Loctician at Distinctive Kinks Natural Hair and Braiding.
Born and raised right here in Tampa.
I have been doing hair since the age of 12 and professionally close to 15 years. So your girl is not new to this. ✨
Styling NATURAL hair Is a passion of mine and I’ve been blessed to build this business from scratch.
Everyday I’m thankful that I get to do what I love while making my clients feel beautiful and show up as their best selves.
When I’m not in the salon you can find me hanging out with my 3 kids. Sleeping (it’s my favorite thing to do.) Enjoying Nature or Outside at somebodies Caribbean party. 💃🏽 ( no I’m not Caribbean but my friends have adopted me at this point😂) I Love afrobeats, Soca and R&B music.
I’m a Sagittarius so It’s hard to sit still. I love to travel and discover new places. And I really value alone time. #certifiedloner
That’s a little about me but everyday I’m growing and evolving into a better person.

Slippage is normal during the beginning stages of your journey but unraveling in the middle of the locs can sometimes happen due to over manipulation. Or styling . Here’s how to fix it ..
If the ends weren’t already locd we could have just twisted them back down but since it is only loose in the middle I’m going in and interlocking all the way through to close the gap.
(Be sure to slightly twist the loc as your interlocking so you are not repeating through the same loop or you will create more holes) 😖
As tempting as it may be to style remember that your babies are still maturing and the best option is to let them be. 🌱
