Did a basic drum recording for a demo recently with only 4 mics. The idea was to get a roomy kit sound from the overheads with only slight enhancement on kick and snare from the respective close mics. I used AKG P170s for the overheads. The result exceeded my expectations.

I haven't been active here on ig for a long time. A lot has happened in this time, so I just wanted to give a small update.
I have given up woodworking entirely for a number of reasons. The most important is that I want to focus all the time and energy I have available to writing, playing and producing music instead of instruments.
So this channel's focus will also shift to music production. I have been getting my home studio geared up and organized to take in more audio work alongside my own music projects.
