Episode 6 of on_display happily welcomes @disposable.time to the archive. Run by @alice.1n.flames and FAQ, the project focuses on organising concerts as much as parties in Leipzig. The two-hour mix offers a broad introduction to their musical tastes, showing their affection for electroclash, minimal wave, gritty electronics, and deadpan wave. Serving E.L.E.C.T.R.O. in a variety of styles and moods, with an overall tone that’s unreconsiled. 💥KAFKACTRL – live Emerging from the depths of the french alps, Kafkactrl delivers textbook-perfect, ice-cold machine funk. Melancholic pads, cutting basslines, shimmering-punchy drums. He’s put out a steady stream of music in recent years on labels like @distrito__91 , @anotherperspectiverecords , Zement or @hilltown.disco as if he were a machine himself. Dystopia has rarely sounded this damn good. 💥SYSTEM DISORDER ( @gravitational_waves_rec ) - live It could be a scandinavian crust band, but it’s actually the alias of DJ Nephil from Helsinki. Analog synthesizers, broken beats, and hellish kick drums to throw this world even further off balance. Productions on all the labels we love, especially on his own imprint. Word is that the new live set isn’t afraid to dip its toes into acid. Let’s find out. 💥NAKS b2b LAZERCAT ( @dreamsofneon_bln ) – Dj These two from Berlin should be familiar faces by now, having already set the basement on fire back in october 2024. Electro without experiments, but full of variety. Unfortunately, we have to announce that @multipolar.music will not be performing on Saturday. A series of misunderstandings led us to give them the wrong date for the concert. We are deeply sorry and apologize for the mix-up. We’ll definitely make it back up! On the bright side, we’re happy that T.u.B. will be stepping in at short notice. Behind this name lies @natnat_tub ’s experimental field recording music project. She is a Leipzig based interdisciplinary artist, a DJ under the name HÖÄH, and a member of @yor_roy_yor . Her musical and performative range is thus quite versatile. On Saturday, she will enrich the evening with a slower, noisy sound experience. Let’s get excited!
