Did you know bats and agave plants rely on each other for survival?🦇 During their 700+ mile migration, pregnant bats feed from agave blossoms and, in turn, transport essential pollen every night, which helps fertilize the next generation of agave. That’s why the @DisneyConservation Fund is helping @batconservationinternational plant agave to ensure both bats & plants thrive in Mexico and the U.S. Southwest.

#RSYouthCouncil member Nateli S. is protecting a local creek with the power of water testing! 🧪🐟
Nateli and her Jane Goodall's Roots & Shoots group have been working at Swan Creek for the past few years, holding habitat restoration and cleanup events and informing people about the local salmon habitat. Since knowledge is power, they decided to take it a step further to better understand the current health of the creek. 🦦🌿
Using a Roots & Shoots Project Grant, Nateli's group bought water testing kits to monitor the water quality. These kits measure all sorts of nutrients, oxygen levels, and debris to let the team know what pollutants are in the water and where they might be coming from based on the concentration in different locations. 👩🔬💭
With this information at their fingertips, Nateli and her group will be able shape their strategy to counter the specific pollutants they find. Together, they're making their creek safe and healthy for all its inhabitants. 💚🌳

In celebration of Disneynature's Orangutan, coming exclusively to Disney+ this Earth Day, the Disney Conservation Fund is supporting @wildlifeasia and their partner, @leuserconservationforum , to protect Sumatran orangutans, elephants, and tigers, across more than 5 million acres of forest habitat—and to help rebuild the Ketambe Research Center and support rangers impacted by catastrophic flooding.
This center and teams were critical to the making of Orangutan, offering filmmakers support and guidance almost every day while in the field. 🦧
