ENG 2026 - THE LAST SEASON Unfortunately, after much hope and uncertainty, it seems that we are entering our final season at the “Greife”: diskoBabel e.V., along with its member collectives, will likely need to vacate the premises in October 2026 as negotiations between the local district and the owner of the site appear to progress rapidly. In fact, trees are already being cut down on our leased site. Is this a sign that it’s serious this time? This raises the question: What will happen after that?! We don’t know yet, but we do know that we need to start preparing ourselves. diskoBabel e.V. and its collectives are currently searching for possible new spaces—and this is where you come in! Every visit to our events and every bit of support helps us manage the dismantling of the site and prepare for a possible move and rebuild. We’ve always known our time at this location was limited. That doesn’t make the ongoing changes in Berlin’s and Germany’s club culture any less shocking, which only motivates us more to stay active! We’ll make sure to keep you posted. For now, we look forward to creating lasting memories with you! Information on diskoBabel-wide events will be shared soon. But we face major challenges to preserve this unique place. We have to finance important projects such as fire protection, well construction and accessibility in order to preserve it. *engl. Awareness Our events aim to be places of encounter where we strive for respectful interactions on an equal footing. At the same time, we want to create discrimination-sensitive spaces at our events where societal structures and expectations that lead to discrimination and violence are dismantled. Our guests should be able to express themselves freely and not have to mask themselves for the sake of a supposed majority. We want to create a space where as many people as possible can feel safe, which is inclusive and discrimination-sensitive. However, this also means that privileges must be questioned and adjusted (e.g., shirtless cis-men). In this space and community, boundaries must be asked about and respected. As DiskoBabel e.V., we are aware that discrimination and violence can still occur at our events. If you feel uncomfortable, your boundaries have been violated, or you have experienced violence and discrimination at our events, you can approach us. DiskoBabel e.V. and the Many Other Contributors DiskoBabel e.V. consists of different collectives, each hosting their own events on the association’s venue (e.g., parties, workshops, and circus, among others). DiskoBabel e.V. recommends that all organizers working on the association’s venue engage with the topics of diversity and awareness and develop appropriate awareness concepts for their events. If you want to learn more about these awareness concepts, feel free to ask the respective organizers. The Awareness Concept for DiskoBabel e.V. Events For events organized by DiskoBabel e.V., there is an awareness team. The focus of our awareness work is to be there for those affected by violence and discrimination if they wish. Our approach to supporting affected persons is based on the principles of definition power, solidarity, transparency, and visibility. Support for Affected Persons The people in our awareness team consider the intersectionality of different forms of discrimination in their support activities. They strive to create an appropriate atmosphere where different life worlds can meet equally. Our goal is to strengthen the agency and resources of affected persons. More in the comments!

‼️Tach jesagt, hergeschaut, warm angeschnallt und aufgemerkt!!!💥😜💥 Ihr wisst ja, Samstag is wieder @kunstmarkt.gs in der @disko_babel , auf der märchenhaften Fläche vom @zirkus_mond , natürlich mit einer Kunstausstellung von der @kuenstlervereinigungsoljanka . 🥳 Das Wetter hat uns beim letzten Mal hängen lassen, aber jetzt sind wir vorbereitet. Unsere Stände haben Dächer, die Kunst ist geschützt und getreu dem Motto - „Damit’s spannend bleibt für Groß und Klein, braucht’s immer neue Spielereien!“, haben wir das Kinderprogramm und das Musikalische neu gestaltet bzw.erweitert. So erwartet euch eine neue Spieleecke, die u.a. mit Riesenjenga für spaßige Herausforderungen sorgt und ein DJ-Line-up, das Tanzen unausweichlich macht. Damit nicht genug startet um 19 Uhr die Show vom @zirkusmond „what is Circus?“ von @migamaj und seiner Crew. Nach dem feucht-fröhlichen Saisonstart an Ostern, freuen wir uns sehr, Euch endlich den nächsten @kunstmarkt.gs im bezaubernden Space vom @zirkus_mond , ankündigen zu dürfen!! 🥳 Das Ganze findet am 9.5. von 14-22 Uhr statt. 💥 Natürlich setzten wir diesmal noch einen drauf, so werden nicht nur alle Stände begeistern und regensicher sein, - Nein - wir erweitern den kompletten Marktplatz und kreieren eine neue Chilloutzone mit Skulpturengarten, vergrößern die Kunstausstellung dank der @kuenstlervereinigungsoljanka + @gute_sache_ev und DJ-Sets plus Jamsession machen das Musikprogramm um einiges vielseitiger. Wie immer ist die Veranstaltung familienfreundlich und bietet neben den Attraktionen vom @zirkus_mond ne Menge Spaß für die großen und kleinen Kinder.
