Big sound, real careers 🎧
Today, the Berkeley Startup Cluster connected Berkeley High’s NSBE Jr. students with Meyer Sound for a STEM CareerX tour in West Berkeley.
Students got a behind-the-scenes look at how world-class loudspeaker systems are designed, engineered, and tested down to the micrometer. They stepped inside the Pearson Theatre, where sound can transform a room into anything from a concert hall to a cathedral, and learned how Meyer Sound “chases linearity” so sound in equals sound out.
The highlight: seeing the brand new TIGRA system on the production floor before it reaches customers. With built-in processing, the system acts as its own “brain,” delivering cleaner, more consistent sound every time.
