In partnership with @tokyorecordbar , J will be selecting records from his far-reaching vinyl collection for a deep listening session. Enjoy cocktails & light bites in a comfortable listening environment before the party kicks into full gear with a Happy Hour from 7-9PM by @condesagin & @mezcalverdeamaras 🍹 JKriv is a Brooklyn-based producer, DJ, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and label owner. Widely known as a co-founder of label Razor-N-Tape, J is also a highly respected producer, prolific remixer, and incendiary DJ. In a music career stretching 2 decades, JKriv has blazed an unconventional path through club world, beginning as a trained jazz musician and live performer before honing his studio and DJ skills. JKriv’s prolific production work has yielded scores of releases on Razor-N-Tape, Glitterbox, Soundway Records, Heist Recordings, Moton Records, Z Records, and many other labels. As a songwriter, arranger, collaborator, and studio musician, J has worked with luminary artists Dimitri From Paris, Horse Meat Disco feat. Kathy Sledge, Adi Oasis, John Morales, Dames Brown and many more. JKriv’s music has garnered support from all quarters of club and radio DJs, such as Gilles Peterson, Antal, Hunee, Colleen “Cosmo” Murphy, Derrick Carter, Disclosure, Andrew Weatherall, Louie Vega, Kenny Dope, Craig Charles, and Jamz Supernova, among many others. As co-founder of Brooklyn label Razor-N-Tape, JKriv has had a sizable impact on both the local NY and global dance music scenes. 🪩 Discoteca x Resolute 🪩 💫 Friday May 15th 💫 NYC 📍 Making their Discoteca debut, @bonitasashita & @_uma_dj are lifelong friends and the ideal B2B to kick things off next Friday. Uma has become a dear friend & collaborator of Discoteca, helping us with decor & running our door over the last year and we CANNOT wait to have her and Sasha behind the decks! Rising queen Sasha Crush is a born & raised New Yorker, NTS Radio resident, community organizer, and founder of CRUSH, a curatorial art project established in 2018. You cna find her behind the dekcs playing records at New York staples including Public Records, Le Bain, Nightmoves, H0L0, and more. With an inclination to weave classic disco, funk, italo, post-punk, and house, Sasha Crush creates moments of love, ecstatic dance, and multigenerational connection. UMA DJ is a NYC-born selector raised on international dance floors and underground parties. She booked her first gig at Magick City age 15 and began her globe-gigging at 21 spanning Australia, Asia, Europe, and the Caribbean. She is influenced by Chicago + NY house, dub, disco, and the history of rave culture. His background and cultural influences shape his curation, resulting in a fusion of genres and eras, always aiming to create a vibrant atmosphere on the dancefloor. Active in New York’s underground scene, Gaspar is known for his groovy style and refined selection of world music, house, and electro. He also stands out for his work with vinyl, constantly digging for rare and exclusive records, alongside his original productions and his label, Banana Gold. Gaspar has released official remixes for artists such as Letrux and Trio Mocotó, further expanding the reach of his musical aesthetic. Based in New York, his productions and edits echo across dancefloors around the world. His unreleased tracks circulate on the USBs of respected DJs such as Millos Kaiser, Gui Scott, Palms Trax, Folamour, and Lipelis. His journey includes collaborations with festivals and collectives like Resolute, Teksupport, UFeel, GopTun, Rara, Portal de Algodões, and Rock the Mountain, as well as the Coala and Okeechobee festivals, sharing lineups with names such as Moodymann, Seth Troxler, Marcellus Pittman, DJ Sneak, Mike Dunn, and JKriv. 🪩 Discoteca x Resolute 🪩 💫 Friday May 15th 💫 NYC 📍 Move D, aka David Moufang, is one of modern electronic musicʼs most beloved souls with a long and varied musical history with roots in the 60s and 70s jazz, psychedelic, rock, soul and early electronica. His discography is long and impressive and holds releases on a broad variety of labels such as Source, Modern Love, Workshop, Smallville, Warp, Running Back, Uzuri and Electric Minds among others plus collaborations and involvements in projects like Magic Mountain High (w. Juju & Jordash) and Reagenz (w. Jonah Sharp). Not one to slack off, his live and DJ performances have been on par with (if not superior to) his studio work, pulling from all corners of his diverse catalog to create an experience that attacks the hips and head in equal measure. His releases touch on house conventions but are delivered in his inimitable style, leaving everyone - from long- time fans to the uninitiated— with their jaws on the floor and their hands in the air.
